To provide analytical chemistry laboratory services for the analyses of selected microbial indicators, conventional analytes, nutrients, total/dissolved metals, and organics in freshwater and marine water samples on an ‘if, as and when required’ basis. This work will support comprehensive water body environmental monitoring programs to assess possible effects, if any, of Metro Vancouver discharges on water quality. Samples will be collected periodically throughout the year and submitted directly from the Corporation or a third party contractor. The laboratory services will involve the time-critical analyses of samples for the determination of all or a subset of analytes. Additionally, the provision of sample containers, coolers/ice packs, synoptic laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and specialized reporting that includes a review of all lab QA/QC results for each program is required. The standing offer agreement shall be for a three (3) year period.
