1.2.1     The key components of the Work are generally described as follows (not listed in any particular order):

(1) Supply and Installation of approximately 2892 m of 2,134 mm diameter (ID) plastic-lined reinforced concrete Class V jacking pipe, installed by microtunneling, including temporary shafts and appurtenances;

(2) Supply and Installation of approximately 56 m of 2,134 mm diameter (ID) plastic-lined reinforced concrete Class IV pipe, installed by open cut methods, including appurtenances;

(3) Supply and installation of drop manholes;

(4) Supply and Installation of 1350 mm tee manholes;

(5) Supply and Installation of cast in place concrete chambers;

(6) Relocation of City of Burnaby water mains;

(7) Connections of existing City of Burnaby sewers to the new Burnaby Lake North Interceptor No. 2;

(8) Protection of existing creek crossings as needed;

(9) Tree and shrub clearing;

(10) Shoring and dewatering;

(11) Traffic Management;

(12) Road restoration and clean-up.

(13) Environmental Protection

(14) Testing, Loading, Transportation and Disposal of contaminated soil;

(15) Treatment and disposal of construction impacted groundwater; 

(16) Treatment and disposal of contaminated groundwater. 

(17) Other related work and/or matters including, but not limited to construction of access roads, pedestrian and traffic control, and compliance with safety requirements. All in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, drawings, and appendices contained in the RFP Documents
