Description: 

The Corporation is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide archaeological services on an “if, as and when required” basis as described herein for a three (3) year period with an option to extend two (2) of one (1) year, and upon the mutual agreement of the parties. Consultants must be Professional members of the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists and have a thorough knowledge of the BC Archaeology Branch requirements as they relate to various archaeological studies and permits.


The archaeologist will work with groups across the Corporation and partner groups to provide expert professional archaeological resource planning, assessment, management, and advice. The archaeologist will collaborate with the Corporation’s Indigenous Relations team and the Project Manager (will be different for each unique project), provide archaeology related training to staff as needed and liaise with the BC Archaeology Branch. Services may include risk screening, training development and delivery, archaeological overview assessment, site visits, archaeological impact assessment, site alteration services, associated permitting, fieldwork and reporting.


It is the intention of the Corporation to enter into a Master Agreement with two (2) or more firms, however, the Corporation may choose other such options it deems of value at its sole discretion. Work will be assigned to individual Respondents “if, as and when required”, based on: expertise, pricing, availability, previous work, responsiveness, and demonstrated ability to provide prompt services. The allocation of work will be at the sole discretion of the Corporation.
