Notice is hereby given by the Greater Vancouver Water District and Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District (both herein referred to as “Metro Vancouver”) of its intent to contract with The Last Mile Environmental Management Solutions Ltd. This 5-year contract (2023 – 2027) is for development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for Metro Vancouver’s water and wastewater utilities. This work builds on the foundation of previous work started in 2017 by the consulting team, led by Charlie Bartlett, formerly through Associated Engineering Ltd. The work has a total estimated value of $1,850,000 over 5 years ($370,000 annually). Service providers wishing to object to this decision should submit their response through the Bidding System (https://metrovancouver.bidsandtenders.ca) no later than 2:00:00 p.m. local time on the 9th day of December, 2022, presenting specific reasons for their objection. If warranted, a meeting with the parties may be called to receive presentations regarding this contract. Consultants with the required expertise, experience, resources and the proven ability to offer the same or better services at a lower cost in the same timeframe will be key criteria with regard to the consideration of Contractor objections. Metro Vancouver’s decisions in this regard will be final.
