The work described in this RFP specifically relates to sediment monitoring in the Fraser River generally as set out in the Fraser River Ambient Monitoring Program (ENKON 2002) (The “Program”) and includes the amendments described in this section. The work will include collection of representative sediment samples at seven specified sampling sites, laboratory analyses for physical, chemical and bacteriological parameters, sediment toxicity testing (and options to conduct a benthic invertebrate community survey and additional analysis of organic parameters), analyses and interpretation of analytical results including statistical assessment of spatial and temporal trends, comparison to applicable sediment quality objectives and guidelines, interpretation of results in the context of environmental effects and potential Metro Vancouver contributions, submission of a draft report, revised draft report, final report and plain language summary report suitable for the general public, and separate presentations to the Corporation and the Environmental Monitoring Committee.
