The work includes a collaborative research project with BC Hydro to explore the feasibility of virtual power plants (VPPs), microgrids and VPP and microgrid hybrids in the region to better understand the potential for VPPs and microgrids to enhance resilience during outages and integrate renewable distributed energy resources (DERs), storage, and demand-side resources into a main electrical distribution grid as detailed in Section 00 24 10 Scope of Services.
