Description: 

The scope includes construction services for:

  • Facilitate safe entry into the trickling filters and the work area overall. This may include developing an alternate measures procedure with approval from WorkSafeBC for confined space entry into trickling filters (TFs).

  • Preparation of detailed project documentation such as shop drawing submittals, work plans, demolition plans, testing and commissioning plans, and tie-in plans.

  • Provide construction access to the TF to facilitate replacement of the media, rotary distributor, and other associated work. Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing rotary distributor, TF media, and foul air (FOA) ducting in three (3) TFs.

  • Supply and installation of three (3) TF rotary distributors.

  • Supply and installation of three (3) sets of TF media.

  • Supply and installation of four (4) sets of TF media surface grating. 

  • Supply and installation of three (3) sets of FOA ducting.

  • Supply and installation of four (4) recirculation fans and four (4) ventilation fans.

  • Refurbishment of four (4) TF geodesic domes.

  • Spot repair of damaged concrete and concrete liner (as required) in one (1) TF.

  • Removal of existing concrete liner and supply and installation of new chemical resistant coating in three (3) TFs. 

  • Restoration and cleanup.

  • Application of applicable permits.

  • In addition to the above, the scope will include, start-up and testing and commissioning services for the new equipment and all associated mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation and control components.
