To conduct a water quality monitoring program on the Fraser River, as detailed in Section 00100 – Scope of Services. The Contract is for a one (1) year term (2021) with a possibility of an extension for an additional one (1) year period, subject to the successful completion of the work, and at the sole discretion of the Corporation. The work will including five weekly water column sampling events within 30-days between January 25 and March 5, 2021 at the Annacis Island WWTP initial dilution zone (IDZ) boundary, reference area and at eight ambient monitoring sites, analyses of samples for selected parameters, interpretation of all analytical results (including WWTP effluent and supplemental samples collected by the Corporation), comparison of results with applicable provincial and federal water quality objectives and guidelines, statistical analyses of 2021 and historical program results to assess temporal variation and trends, and spatial variation in water quality among sampling sites, confirmation of effluent dilution at the edge of the Annacis Island WWTP IDZ, data compilation and reporting, preparation of draft, revised draft, and final reports as well as a summary document; and separate presentations to the Corporation and possibly to the Environmental Monitoring Committee.
