The main objectives of this project are to retain a consultant to update Metro Vancouver’s Sensitive Ecosystem Inventory (SEI) and Land Cover Classification (LCC) GIS datasets, facilitate change reporting, and improve the methodology to ensure faster updating, with the same or improved resolution and levels of accuracy as the 2014 update. The consultant, that is the successful Proponent, if any, will work with a remote sensing advisor and an SEI advisor identified by Metro Vancouver to develop and implement a workflow that combines the update process for the two datasets, create cost efficiencies by streamlining the process for future updates, validate, and deliver the updated datasets.
