The Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District (the Corporation) seeks ground improvements and preload (GI&P) engineering services for the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (IIWWTP) Upgrade Project from consulting firms with extensive geotechnical and GI&P design and construction management experience in the Lower Mainland (the Respondent).The selected Respondent will, in a phased approach, support the Corporation with GI&P options analysis and evaluation, GI&P design incorporating wildlife, tree, and sensitive ecosystem protections, GI&P design testing, procurement and tendering support, sequencing of activities, liaising with regulatory bodies in coordination with Corporation staff, and provide construction management and geotechnical supervision during the GI&P construction phase. It is the Corporation’s intent to award the design phase only with the upcoming RFP, and will negotiate the fees for the construction phase of the project with the selected Respondent assuming the Corporation is satisfied with the performance of the selected Respondent.
