The primary scope for Construction of Fleetwood Reservoir Phase 1 is to construct a new below ground dual cell 13.6 ML (million litre) reinforced concrete potable water reservoir with approximate overall dimensions of 85m by 47m by 5.8m high to improve reliable water delivery to the City of Surrey.

Detailed design is slated to finish in August 2020 and the construction work is anticipated to begin in spring 2021.

The work consists generally of the supply, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of all materials related to the construction (the “Work”) of Fleetwood Reservoir Phase 1. Tie-ins are anticipated for the Work to connect the new reservoir inlet and outlet pipes to existing mains. In order for the Project to be fully operational, there are constraints on some of the tie-in work such as duration, season and time of the day that the Contractor is required to comply with. Also within the scope is reinstatement of the park environment after construction.
